Omar started his motorsport career at the age of 12, when he raced one year of club championships in 2012, finishing 3rd in both the Whilton Mill and the Shennington championship. In 2013, he competed in the Rotax Super One Series and impressively finished in the top 20, acquiring many top rookie trophies, despite 2013 being only his second year of racing.
In 2014, Omar competed in the Super One Series for his second year, gaining a second place finish in the second round and soon after, was offered a test in a BRDC F4 car by 3KS Management and MSV at Bedford Autodrome. After an impressive test, Omar made the decision of graduating into cars and to race in the 2015 BRDC F4 season. Due to his age, he will miss the first two rounds of the championship and so he will make his debut in the third round at Silverstone.
“I am looking forward to my first season in single seater racing and I am sure it will be a great learning curve for me. It is a big step up from karting and although I will have the disadvantage of missing the first two rounds, I am extensively training physically and mentally for the upcoming season.”
